Post - Visit reflection

My group visited old folks home on the 8th and 19th of June. During the first visit, we help them clean the table, serve the food and sweep the floor. We were not able to communicate well with them as we were shy and not brave enough to approach them. The second visit was better as we were able to communicate with one of the residents there. She shared with us about her life experiences as well as her life in the old folks home. She told us that during the old time, arranged marriage was a common thing. Her marriage was arranged by her parents and she did not even know who was her husband back then. Beside from interacting with the residents, we also helped them doing their morning exercise.
Even though we did not spent a lot of time there, I have learned a thing or two from them. This also changed the way I look to the elderly.
